ART WORKSHOPS & RETREATS
Claramount Galleries
Claramount Galleries are the cultural heart of Claramount Club, celebrating artists in The Main Gallery and The Friends Gallery. Together, these spaces form a dynamic platform for exhibition, education, and creative exchange. Rooted in the belief that art thrives in community, Claramount Galleries supports both established and emerging artists through exhibitions, artist-led retreats and collaborative programming.

The Main Gallery

The Main Gallery is a 2-storey light-filled, refined exhibition space showcasing rotating exhibitions from established and emerging artists, retreat leaders, and invited guests. This atrium space anchors the Club’s art program and offers guests daily exposure to exceptional works.
Gordon Harrison is a Canadian painter known for his realistic approach and strong observational work. His paintings explore light, form, and atmosphere through a refined, disciplined practice grounded in traditional techniques. Drawing inspiration from his travels across Canada, his landscapes balance strength and subtlety, often edging toward abstraction while remaining deeply rooted in place. He lives and operates his gallery in Ottawa, with his paintings being collected world wide.
The Friends Gallery
The Friends Gallery is an intimate space dedicated to local talent: we’ve got so much creativity right here in The County. It reflects Claramount Club’s commitment to support local artist endeavours, offering a more personal counterpoint to the Main Gallery’s larger exhibitions.

Artist Retreats at Claramount Club
Claramount Club has become a gathering place for creativity, conversation, and craft. Our Artist Retreats invite beginner and all artists to immerse themselves in a setting designed to inspire - surrounded by water, heritage architecture, and a vibrant cultural community.
Hosted by recognized teaching artists, each retreat combines hands-on instruction and meaningful connection. Participants stay on property, dine at our restaurants, and work plein air or within the Club’s galleries and creative spaces or on the property, making each retreat a fully integrated artistic experience.
